Dr. Brent D. Sonner, D.D.S., has been proudly providing comprehensive general and family dentistry in Wakarusa, Indiana, since 1979. Known for his caring approach and long-standing commitment to his patients, Dr. Sonner has built a practice grounded in trust, compassion, and quality care.
His love for dentistry began at an early age while working alongside his father, who owned and operated a dental laboratory in Elkhart, Indiana. This early experience sparked a passion for the field that led Dr. Sonner to pursue dentistry as a lifelong career.
A graduate of Northridge High School, Dr. Sonner earned his undergraduate degree from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, and went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis.
He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society, and has received lifetime membership in the Indiana Dental Association — a reflection of his long-standing dedication to the profession.
Outside the dental office, Dr. Sonner is deeply involved in the community. He has served on the local school board and was honored with the Wakarusa Business of the Year award in 2018. He and his wife, Kathleen, have a blended family of seven children and are proud grandparents to four grandchildren. Dr. Sonner is also a strong supporter of local sports teams and community events.
